Shurtape Technologies, Inc makes a variety of adhesive tapes for industrial, home and commercial uses. The plant is located in the community of Stony Point, NC which straddles the Alexander and Iredell county line. The water tower has a rather peculiar shape with the addition of the tank below the main tank. In addition to supplying water for industrial processes, the tank provides water storage for human consumption and fire protection.
