Pawtuxet Village Shoppes plaza is home to this free standing large white-faced clock constructed on the corner of Broad and Aborn streets. The two-sided clock is positioned by the southwest point of a small parking lot. The clocks are best oriented for travelers heading north or south on Broad Street.
The time piece is suspended between two square red brick columns two feet wide, each with four horizontal, single layer bands of light-colored brick. The plaza's name is divided betwen a dark metal arch spanning the columns [Pawtuxet Village] and beneath the clock [Shoppes]. Black hands and roman numerals show the time on this clock that is about two feet in diameter.
The plaza buildings, arranged in an "L", hold retail establishments at ground level and condominium residences on the upper floor. Businesses include a bagel deli/cafe, a pizzeria, a dog groomer, a health spa, a hair salon, and an American-style bistro. This most southeastern Cranston, Rhode Island village of Pawtucket property is on the shore of the Pawtuxet River, which leads right out to Narragansett Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
