The remodeling of the front steps to the big building is only partially completed and a new elevator remains to be installed. A legislative appropriation, however, will care for the completion of these two jobs. A crew of unskilled workers will be assigned to the building. The outstanding improvements at the building include recovering the dome with sheet copper, new ? for the highway testing laboratories, concrete parking space and driveway at the rear of the building, and much minor repair to roof and cornice."
