"To the Glory of GOD and in memory of Martin Mence of Northwick Hall who died 1st
Augt 1905 aged 71 and of Emily Elizabeth his wife
who died 20th Nov 1886 aged 53 also of Rose
Tolley Mence their daughter who died 9th March 1896
aged 28. This window is the gift of their surviving
children Oscar T Mence and Blanche T McLaughlin"

"Daughter of Martin Mence of Northwick Hall, Claines, born 1868, married Rev. Edward McLaughlin, a direct descendant of King Edward I. Endowed a window in the Chantry Chapel in memory of Martin Mence. Her husbands brother is the great grandfather of Guy Ritchie, the husband of Pop Star, Madonna."
