NRHP Nomination Form"Built according to Community School Plan #20, the one-story side-gable schoolhouse features a symmetrical front elevation with central projecting gabled bay flanked by two front doors. Detailing on the wood frame building is minimal and Craftsman inspired including wide overhangs, exposed rafter tails and knee braces. Large 9/9 and 6/6 light windows dominate the front and rear facades. The interior of the building is organized into two classrooms separated by a movable partition with a third room accessible from both classrooms.
The exterior of the school is characterized by white clapboard/weatherboard siding, and cross-gabled roof with exposed rafter tails. The roof is composition shingles. The brick pier and wooden beam foundation is concealed by board and batten skirting."
