Fishing the oyster bars!

Got skunked today, but there is usually great fishing around this area. It's tough navigating through the oyster bars and shoals at low tide (and there's lots of them!), but the reds you tie into make it worth it. We've pulled in plenty of trout in this area, too.
The public (and free) boat ramp is down Mashes (said Mash-eeee) Sands road (take 19 South, take the last left turn before the Ochlockonee bridge). The ramp is best suited for smaller flats boats, especially during low tide, when you have to squeeze through a narrow (5 or 6 feet), shallow (3 feet) gap to get to the bay.
Recommended tackle: Live shrimp and a poppin' cork.
Recommended fishing methods: Get yourself a poppin' cork (Cajun Thunder is the brand name of one). Tie it to your leader. Then take another 2 1/2 feet of line, tie it to the other end of the poppin' cork, and tie your hook on. Place the shrimp on the hook. Cast it on out. Retrieving the line is optional. If you bring it in or leave it where it is, just tug on the line quickly every few seconds. The poppin' cork makes a sound like a shrimp slapping it's tail, which sounds just like a dinner bell to reds.
