Sur le versant sud de la montagne de Lure, au-dessus de Redortiers et en contrebas de la crête, on peut voir ce cairn, connu sous le nom de Sous-Pape. En effet, sur la crête, le cairn est le Pape.
Sur une très vieille photo issue du film Crésus, on peut voir, derrière l'acteur Fernandel, ce même cairn en cours de construction, en 1960. On voit que ses auteurs ont commencés à monter les pierres puis ont ajoutés un second tour provisoire, comme pour une marche d'escalier, pour atteindre le sommet et continuer à monter.
Sur cette montagne, les cairns marquaient les limites entres les zones de pâturage.
Ce cairn a bientôt 60 ans !
En avril, les coccinelles sortent de leur habitat, au centre du cairn (voir les photos).

On the southern slope of the Lure mountain, above Redortiers and below the ridge, you can see this cairn, known as the Sous-Pape. Indeed, on the ridge, the cairn is the Pope.
On a very old photo from the film Crésus, behind the actor Fernandel, we can see this same cairn under construction in 1960. We see that its builders began to climb the stones and then added a second temporary tower, as for a staircase step, to reach the top and continue climbing.
On this mountain, the cairns marked the boundaries between the grazing areas.
This cairn is almost 60 years old!
In April, ladybugs leave their habitat in the middle of the cairn (see photos).
