The double storey brick Carcoar LPO built in 1879 features a double storey verandah to the facade which has iron lace, of unusual design, to the upper floor balustrade. The ground floor of the verandah has a timber infill valance. The projecting single storey section in English bond brick which houses the entrance to the Post office was erected at a later date
