This memorial stands on the southeast corner of Main and Broadway in downtown Yale.

The town of Yale has a community historic district called White Way which highlights several buildings from the early boom town days of Yale. This war memorial is part of that district.

This is an eight foot high obelisk constructed of concrete blocks. A bronze plaque on the monument reads:
