A monument to Edward Salter (d.1724) bearing his coat of arms, on the east wall of the chancel, St Mary's church, Battisford.
The marble monument is surmounted by a pyramid on the top of which is a boy blowing a trumpet.
The inscription below the arms reads:
Near this place Lieth ye Body of a Edward Salter Gent: Who Departed this life ye 24th July 1724 Aged 65 Years
Also Mary his Wife Died ye 23rd Feby 1707 Aged 35 Years
