The Allison community itself bears the name of Willis Allison, who came here with his family from Missouri just after the Civil War, and he is buried just up the road in Evergreen Cemetery. Today, this is a quiet rural community, with a few scattered residences, a business or two, and this cemetery and the church in front of it. Allison's school building is no longer with us.
