This Veterans Memorial and Air Park was established by the Jet Lions Club. The center pillar of the memorial bears the names of seven veterans, one from WWI and six from WWII. Additional veterans from later conflicts are named on monuments to either side. The "air park" portion of the memorial features a Cessna T-37B "Tweet" jet trainer on permanent display.

Jet, Oklahoma (official population 213) was founded by six brothers with surname Jett but the town name has been spelled with one 't' since incorporation in 1900. Built on the homesteads established by these brothers, the town moved two miles west in 1906 to take advantage of a new railroad line. Most Jet residents work in agriculture or at the nearby Air Force training base.

The Memorial area is bounded by a short white pipe fence along the roadways on the east and south. The memorial monument consists of a taller central pillar and 2 shorter adjacent side pillars. The pillars are joined, and rest on a horizontal gray granite base, which sits on a concrete pad. The monument is surrounded by white rock, is set along a gravel path and among shrubbery and decorative plantings.
