Mr. Airheart is buried in proximity to many other members of the Airheart family; the cemetery actually has its origins as a family cemetery. A notable family member, buried just feet away, is Onclo M. Airheart, a friend of Audie Murphy, and second only to Murphy in terms of being decorated during World War II.
This concrete headstone is roughly 2' x 3', and it has since been complemented by a modern gray granite headstone behind it. It reads:
