EN: This collection of cairns is located next to a mountain trail between Belalp and Riederalp near the Aletsch Glacier. The trail crosses the Aletsch Forest nature reserve, where the Silbersand area is located. Here are on a flat place dozens of cairns. The largest are almost two meters high, many only a few centimeters.
Where they come from is not documented. Probably some hikers have once started with it, and others just kept it up.
DE: Diese Ansammlung von Steinmännchen befindet sich neben einem Bergwanderweg zwischen Belalp und Riederalp in der Nähe des Aletschgletschers. Der Weg durchquert das Naturschutzgebiet Aletschwald, wo sich die Gegend Silbersand befindet. Hier stehen auf einem flachen Platz dutzende von Steinmännchen. Die grössten sind fast zwei Meter hoch, viele auch nur wenige Zentimeter.
Woher sie stammen ist nirgends dokumentiert. Vermutlich haben Wanderer damit begonnen und andere das dann einfach weiter geführt.
