Spanning the Shade Creek, this Howe truss bridge was built in 1889 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The cheerful two color bridge is also known as the Shade Covered Bridge and is 65 feet long. Unlike many of our Pennsylvania covered bridges, St. Mary's bridge is open to traffic.
