The Dunfallandy Stone was thought to been carved by the Picts from around 600 to 800AD, and is situated around half a mile south of Pitlochry on a mound at Dunfallandy.

The cross-slab stone is carved on both sides with Pictish and religious symbols and can be found along a narrow minor road heading south from Pitlochry where it is signposted on the right a few hundred yards after heading under the A9 underpass. A farm driveway leads to a series of steps leading up to the top of the mound where the stone is set next to a private burial ground. The delicate nature of the red sandstone means that the stone is set within a stone and glass shelter.
