Outside a Jeweller's Shop at 36 Taborstraße are three brass plaques set into the pavement as part of the Path of Remembrance through the Leopoldstadt district of Vienna. They are listed as #21a on the Second District Path.

In March 1938 Nazi Germany incorporated the Austrian Republic in what became known as the "Anschluss." Up to September 1939, the outbreak of WWII, Jews were able to emigrate from Austria but forfeited all their possessions under the German anti-Jewish legislation laws. Later Jews were sent to concentration camps in Poland and Russia and many were exterminated in the Holocaust. The Path of Remembrance is placed through Leopoldstadt, the old Jewish Quarter of Vienna.

The first plaque reads:-

                     ZUM GEDENKEN AN
                    34 JÜDISCHE FRAUEN,
                    MÄNNER UND KINDER,
                    DIE IN DIESEM HAUS
                      GEWOHNT HABEN
                     UND VON DEN NAZIS
                      DEPORTIERT UND
                     ERMORDET WORDEN
                          SIND.

The second and third give the names of eight of the occupants of this house, their dates of birth and their fate at the hands of the Nazi regime.
