The Monument to the victims of the sea (Monumento ai caduti del mare) is located on the quay of the dock in the port of an ancient seaside town Castiglione della Pescaia in central Italy. The monument was inaugurated on October 2, 1988 and it is a bronze sculpture made by Lorenzo dal Torrione represents a sailor who with one hand supports his dying companion and with the other he holds an anchor. The monument was restored in 2009.
