EN: This wooden cross stands a few meters next to a hiking trail at the Aletschbord. The cross has a wooden pediment and a small Jesus statue made of metal, on the side arms it is dated to 1950.
The Aletschbord is a popular vantage point, reachable within a short walk from the aerial lift station. It offers a great view of the world famous Aletsch glacier. The trail, which leads from here along the mentioned cross brings you even closer, but with over five hours in alpine terrain this is not recommended for everyone.
DE: Dieses Holzkreuz steht einige Meter neben einem Wanderweg beim Aletschbord. Das Kreuz hat eine hölzernen Giebel und eine kleine Jesusfigur aus Metall, an den Seitenarmen ist es mit 1950 datiert.
Das Aletschbord ist ein beliebter Aussichtspunkt, der mit einem einfachen Spaziergang von der Seilbahnstation zu erreichen ist. Er bietet eine grossartige Aussicht auf den weltberühmten Aletschgletscher. Der Wanderweg, der von hier an diesem Kreuz vorbeiführt, bringt einem noch näher heran, ist aber mit über fünf Stunden in alpinem Gelände nicht mehr jedermann zu empfehlen.
