"The Auburn Methodist Church is very old but has been restored and
is well-kept. It is small and doesn't hold very many people. It still
has Sunday School and church every Sunday morning." ~ Clark Center, IL By Bill Darr, Seth Garner, Robin Higginbotham
The Auburn Cemetery is in Clark Center, Auburn Township. Clark Center is often, inaccurately, referred to as "Auburn" by locals, particularly old timers. But there is another Illinois town (in Sangamon County) that has the official name of Auburn.
One local told me the church does not have services any more, but does have Sunday School. He said that two locals keep the church alive and oversee the Sunday School.
