Whitlock Park was constructed in 1939 as a WPA project. Evidence can be seen today in the stone pillars on the south side of the park, and the nice stone former bathhouse on the northwest corner.

The park contains modern playground equipment, three nice picnic pavilions with fireplaces, a basketball court, skate park and a brand new splash pad. The park is actively used for community events, including the 4th of July celebration, and the annual Oilpatch Jamboree in October.
