Résident montréalais de longue date, Shalom Bloom s’initie à la sculpture à l’âge de cinquante ans, abandonnant une carrière dans le monde des affaires afin de se consacrer à temps plein à son art. Son sujet de prédilection est la faune. Son travail peut être admiré au siège de l’Organisation de l’aviation civile internationale (OACI) à Montréal et au Musée de la nature à Ottawa, ainsi que dans d’autres collections publiques et privées autour du monde.

A long-time resident of Montreal, Shalom Bloom took up sculpture at age fifty, eventually leaving a successful career in business to pursue it full time. Bloom’s main subject matter is wildlife. Sculptures by him stand at the Civil Aviation Organization headquarters in Montreal and the Museum of Nature in Ottawa, as well as in other private and public collections around the world.
