The Blayney railway station is one of only a few in NSW to have the Station Master's residence and the station buildings on an island platform. The main brick and iron roofed building dates from 1876 and the other from 1889, a long verandah which is supported by timber posts with ornate cast iron brackets runs the length of the buildings
