DESCRIPTION DE L'OEUVRE
Située dans le parc des Rapides, boulevard LaSalle, Communion est une sculpture tubulaire composée de deux structures qui s’entrelacent, l’une peinte en bleu et l’autre, en rouge. Chacune des structures est constituée de quatre tubes reliés par des anneaux, évoquant l’interdépendance et la communion entre les êtres et les rapports étroits, parfois complexes, qu’ils entretiennent entre eux. L’oeuvre est un espace à parcourir, à découvrir. La collection municipale compte deux autres sculptures de Jacques Carpentier, toutes deux en acier peint.

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
Situated in Parc des Rapides, on Boulevard LaSalle, Communion is a tubular sculpture composed of two interwoven structures, one painted blue and the other painted red. Each structure is formed of four tubes attached by rings, evoking interdependence and communion among living beings and the close, sometimes complex relations that they maintain. The artwork offers a space to walk through and discover. The municipal collection includes two other sculptures by Jacques Carpentier, both made of painted steel.
