The church was built in 1858 and was the third church erected north of the Columbia River. It is a small building (20 ft by 30 ft) and is surmounted by a belfry consisting of a louvered quare, upon which is superimposed a louvered octagon of lesser dimensions upon which in turn is mounted a symbolic crown of thorns. The church is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
