In the small un-incorporated community of Ortona is a metal Smokey Bear fire warning sign. He stands in front of the volunteer fire station. This fire department is located on the road to the US Army Corp of Engineers Ortona Lock and Dam located on the north side of the Caloosahatchee Canal and Okeechobee Waterway.
