Coeur de lion McCarthy

Fils de l’artiste Hamilton Plantagenet McCarthy, Cœur de lion McCarthy naît à Londres, en 1881, et suit sa formation de sculpteur à l’atelier de son père. L’artiste a créé de nombreux monuments commémoratifs, entre autres à Trois-Rivières, à Knowlton et un peu partout au Canada, dont à Vancouver. Il a réalisé les bustes de sir Wilfrid Laurier, de sir John A. Macdonald et de la Reine Victoria. Il meurt à Montréal, en 1971.

Cette sculpture est située à l'intérieur de l'ancienne gare Windsor, au 1160 avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal. Elle est ouverte au public durant le jour de 6:00a.m. à 11:00p.m.

He died in Montréal in 1971.
