This crossing sign is on a minor road on a stretch between the River Tern and the Shropshire Union Canal.

In spring toads return to ancestral ponds to breed and unfortunately they have no road sense and many are killed by vehicles.

The danger time is dusk but hopefully this sign makes motorists more aware of the danger for the toads..
