NRHP Nomination Form "Originally an early twentieth-century stone building occupied the site. Between 1935 and 1937 the building was razed except for its two side walls. A new structure was built within the two walls, as a new steel framework, a new roof, a new front, and a new rear were all built. The front facade was stuccoed in a Moderne style common in that era. In the 1950s, the lower part of the facade was altered by installing mosaic tiles on the walls, an oversized metal marquee across the front, and metal-framed windows and a glass door."
