Each child has their own side panel, while both are referenced on the front and back panels, with epitaphs on the base on all sides. This is a short monument, one that one would expect for children, and two angels in supplication are on the front, with this inscription:

Mary Jane
& Jimmie
Newton Owen

--*--

Son &
Daughter of
H.E. &
Amanda Owen.

Take them, O Father, in Thine arms
and may they henceforth be
a messenger of peace between
our human hearts and thee.

---

The rear panel reads:

Mary
& Jimmie
Owen.

Our dear children,
at rest.

---

Jimmie's panel features a mourning dove, and reads:

Jimmie
Newton Owen

--*--

Born
July 22, 1873,
Died
Oct. 27, 1877.

We miss the bright eyes of
our darling child,
and the sweet, ruby lips that
so oft on us smiled.

---

Mary Jane's panel features a lamb upon a small ship -- note the ivy and the mast and sail -- and it reads:

Mary Jane
Owen

Born Dec. 29, 1876,
Died
Sept. 24, 1880

Sleep on my sweet Mary, sleep!
So early gone;
To Earth, a child is lost, to
Heaven, a cherub born.
