"La chapelle, de très petite dimension, est constituée d'une petite façade de style classique logée sous un édicule moderne.

Cette façade de pierre comporte un soubassement, une grande niche grillagée flanquée de deux pilastres, d'un entablement lisse et d'un fronton triangulaire sommé d'un calice en stuc doré.

Le millésime de 1731 est gravé deux fois en lettres d'or sur cette petite façade : une première fois sur le fronton triangulaire et une deuxième fois, caché dans un chronogramme gravé sur un bloc de pierre bleue inséré dans le soubassement :

Le plafond de l'édicule est orné d'un motif rayonnant en stuc blanc au centre duquel le Saint-Esprit est figuré sous la forme d'une colombe en stuc doré.

Chaque année a lieu, le deuxième dimanche de mai, la procession de Notre-Dame des Affligés.

La procession part de l'église de Villers-la-Ville à 9 h, effectue un parcours à travers champs, est l'occasion d'une messe chantée à 10 h 30 dans l'église abbatiale de Villers et revient au village par la route de Mellery en passant sous la  Porte de Namur et en effectuant une station à la chapelle Notre-Dame des Affligés."

The chapel, whom the size is very small, consists of a small facade of classic style housed under a modern aisle.

This stone facade has a base, a large wire niche flanked by two pilasters, a smooth entablature and a triangular pediment topped with a chalice gilded stucco.

The vintage of 1731 is engraved twice in gold letters on this small facade: a first time on the triangular pediment and a second time, hidden in a chronogram engraved on a block of blue stone inserted in the basement:

The ceiling of the edicule is adorned with a radiating pattern of white stucco in the center of which the Holy Ghost is depicted as a golden stucco dove.

Each year, on the second Sunday of May, the procession of Our Lady of the Afflicted is taking place.

The procession leaves the church of Villers-la-Ville at 9 am, crosses the fields, is the occasion of a mass sung at 10:30 in the abbey church of Villers and returns to the village by the Mellery road passing under the Porte de Namur and making a station at the chapel of Our Lady of the Afflicted. "
