DESCRIPTION DE L'OEUVRE

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION

In 1985 the artist was sought out to create a monumental sculpture celebrating the history of film for MGM’s corporate headquarters in California. Soon after the piece was selected by the National Sculpture Society for their Annual Exhibition in New York City. Positioned just opposite the BMO lecture theatre, the work acts greets all those going through the south doors of the business school. It is fitting reminder of the relationship of its donor, Bruce Mallen, who spent twenty-five years as a student, faculty member and an administrator in what was then , the Faculty of Commerce, before moving on to a successful career in the film industry.
