Always Rd in Grassie (a small rural hamlet, amalgamated into the City of Hamilton) is interupted by several segments of upopened road allowances. Once such road allowance, north of Mud Street, crosses over a small creek which appears to be a tributary of 40 Mile Creek. The narrow one-lane concrete bridge over the creek bears the following inscription, stamped into the concrete:
JAS. D. STUART ROAD SUPT. 1933

To reach the bridge, from Mud Street travel north on Always Rd and park at the end of the paved road. Walk 150 meters along the unopened road allowance to reach the bridge. The inscription is on the eastern side of the bridge (on your right as you approach), along the top of the concrete "railing" or sidewall of the bridge.
Date built or dedicated as indicated on the date stone or plaque.: 1933

Date stone, plaque location.: top of eastern edge
