This skillful piece of artwork is located in the central park of the city of Ubon Ratchathani in north-eastern Thailand. The artwork is composed of four life-sized women, each representing their country (be it Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia). They stand together on a plinth, facing outward into the park. The sculpture is seen as one enters through the main park entrance.

The plaque on the plinth reveals details of the work. The sculpture was created at Silapakorn University, famous and known for its artistic achievement. The hope is that these four countries will live together in harmony. A noble sentiment, fingers crossed.

The plaque was translated for me by a local.
