[GER] Das Gebäude in der Neumann-Reichardt-Straße 20/22 wurde von Henry Grell entworfen und in den Jahren 1914-1916 gebaut. Der Backsteinbau mit Werksteinelementen ist in seiner massigen Gestalt ein Beispiel der Reformarchitektur im damals preußischen Wandsbek. Das Gebäude steht unter denkmalschutz und ist in der Denkmalliste-Hamburg-Wandsbek unter der Nummer 24549 geführt.

Das Wappen von Wandsbek zeigt auf blauem Grund den Hut, Tasche und Stock des Wandsbecker Bothen in Silber, in der linken (heraldisch: vorderen) Wappenecke ist der Schild von Stormarn, ein weißer Schwan auf rotem Grund, enthalten. Das Wandsbeker Wappen wurde 1877 entwickelt, nachdem die Kommune 1870 die Einwohnerzahl von 10.000 überschritten hatte und zur Stadt erhoben worden war. Mit der Eingemeindung Wandsbeks nach Hamburg im Jahr 1937 endete die kommunale Selbständigkeit und das Wappen verlor seine amtliche Bedeutung.

Das Wandsbek-Wappen befindet sich am großen Gibel zur Neumann-Reichardt-Straße 22 in luftiger Höhe.

[ENG] The building in the Neumann-Reichardt-Straße 20/22 was designed by Henry Grell and built in the years 1914-1916. The brick building with its workstone elements in its massive form is an example of the reform architecture in Wandsbek, then Prussia. The building is under a preservation order and is listed in the Hamburg Wandsbek List of Monuments under number 24549.

The coat of arms of Wandsbek shows on blue ground the hat, bag and stick of the Wandsbecker Bothen in silver, in the left (heraldically: front) coat of arms corner is the shield of Stormarn, a white swan on red ground, contained. The Wandsbeker coat of arms was developed in 1877, after the municipality had exceeded the population of 10,000 in 1870 and had been elevated to the status of a town. With the incorporation of Wandsbek into Hamburg in 1937 the municipal independence ended and the coat of arms lost its official meaning.
