In Concord, along Lexington Street, is the church for the First Parish in Concord, Unitarian-Universalist.

The church is located on the west side of the road, about a block south of Monument Square. The church is a squarish building with an ell to the left side. The sides white clapboard. There are two stories of windows down the sides, with black shutters. The front, facing the half-circle driveway and Lexington Road, has a flight of stairs leading to a wide landing. The extended roof is supported by four great columns. The roof has a peak. Toward the front is a clock tower, then a belfry above that, topped by a cupola. There is a bell at ground level inside the driveway circle in front of the church, and a road sign nearby.

Services are Sunday at 10:00 am. Services are typical of churches with a Christian-Protestant tradition. However, as a member of the Unitarian-Unversalist Association, the sermons tend to be less structured and ritualistic.

The congregation is busy, with a full calendar of activities. STrong emphasis is on social action activities. There are other social and committee actions.

The road side proclaims that the congregation was established in 1637. Another sign, on the door, proclaims that there were four meetinghouses constructed and used by the congregation: one before 1673, on at 1673, one at 1712, and another at 1900-1.
