Gaasperplas is a station of the Amsterdam metro in the Amsterdam Zuidoost district. The aboveground metro station opened on October 14, 1977 and is part of Gaasperplaslin 53, of which the station forms the southern terminus. Gaasperplas is the quietest metro station of line 53 with a passenger number of only 3000 per day. Just past the metro station is a stabling site with four tracks. This site is gradually being extended and renewed between 2013 and 2016 in connection with the arrival of the new M5 equipment. On the north-west side, the metro line has been crossed since 1982 by the viaduct of the A9. To the east of the station is a bus station where bus lines 47, 49, 271 (2 rides in early morning) and night line 285 halt. Source - Wikipedia
