EN: This wooden cross stands next to a hiking trail about halfway between Kreuzboden and Saas-Grund near a hamlet called Triftalp.
The cross is about six meters high and consists of round wooden beams. In the middle hangs a very small Jesus figure of dark metal. On the concrete foundation is written: "Älpler 1984". I could not find out what that means.
DE: Dieses Holzkreuz steht neben einem Wanderweg etwa auf halben Weg zwischen Kreuzboden und Saas-Grund in der Nähe einer kleinen Alpsiedlung namens Triftalp.
Das Kreuz ist rund sechs Meter hoch und besteht aus runden Holzbalken. In der Mitte hängt eine sehr kleine Jesusfigur aus dunklem Metall. Auf dem Betonfundament steht: "Älpler 1984". Was das bedeutet, konnte ich nicht herausfinden.
