"The park will feature a memorial wall with names of veterans engraved on bricks. They also plan for lighting, landscaping, benches and a war statue. The project committee has sold over 500 bricks and raised $20,000 for the memorial.

'"It's better than what we hoped for," Shaffer said. "We had hoped to sell maybe 300 to 400 bricks. Once people saw the gas station being torn down, they really got excited and everybody wanted to buy a brick."' ~ Woodward News
