Im Jahr 1353 wird die Pfarrei in Eich erstmals genannt. Da die Pfarrei Eich in der „Taxa generalis“ um 1330 fehlt, ist die Begründung der Pfarrei kurz vor ihrer ersten Nennung anzusetzen. Die Kollation hatte vor 1353 der Probst von St. Kastor, nach ihm das Trierer Domkapitel.

Im Jahr 1720 gab das Stift St. Kastor der Pfarre einen Beitrag zur Errichtung einer Sakristei. Die Kirche stammte mit Ausnahme des romanischen Turmes aus dem Jahr 1748. Zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts war Eich Teil der Pfarrei Nickenich, wurde im Jahr 1834 als Pfarre aber wieder eigenständig. Im Jahr 1896 bis 1897 wurde von dem Architekten Becker aus Bonn eine neue Pfarrkirche im neugotischen Stil errichtet. Den alten Westturm integrierte man in den Neubau. Ihre Lage über dem Sempachersee an der ehemaligen Gotthardroute ist einzigartig. Zusammen mit dem Pfarrhaus von 1661 und dem Spycher von 1623 bildet sie ein Gebäudeensemble ganz besonderer Prägung.
Die heutige Pfarrkirche wurde anstelle einer Vorgängerkirche errichtet, die zu klein und über die Jahre baufällig geworden war. Die Kirche beeindruckt im Innern mit ihrer einheitlichen künstlerischen Gestaltung.

In 1720, the St. Castor Monastery gave the parish a contribution to the construction of a sacristy. The church came with the exception of the Romanesque tower from the year 1748. In the year 1896 to 1897 the architect Becker from Bonn built a new parish church in the neo-gothic style. The old west tower was integrated into the new building. Its location above Lake Sempach on the former Gotthard route is unique. Together with the vicarage of 1661 and the Spycher of 1623, it forms a building ensemble of a very special character.
The present parish church was built in place of a previous church, which had become too small and over the years dilapidated. Inside, the church impresses with its unified artistic design.
