La porte du Soubeyran était l'une des quatre porte de la ville, située au nord de l'enceinte médiévale et déjà citée dans les archives dès 1216 (portali superiori). Ses vestiges actuels dateraient du XIVe siècle. En 1834. une horloge a été établie sur la porte afin de distribuer l'heure aux quartiers nord de la ville. C'est aussi à cette période que le campanile a été ajouté à la tour. Et à la fin du XIX' siècle, elle était tellement délabrée qu'une reconstruction fut nécessaire.

The Soubeyran Gate was one of the four gates of the city, located north of the medieval enclosure and already mentioned in the archives since 1216 (portali superiori). Its current remains date back to the 14th century. In 1834. One clock was set on the door to distribute the time in the northern parts of the city. It was also during this period that the bell tower was added to the tower. And at the end of the 19th century, it was so dilapidated that reconstruction was necessary.
