The Wheatsheaf is a common pub name in the UK usualy associated with a rural setting.
It's a little out of place in this urban setting, in the middle of one of the first industrial cities in the world.
Smithfield Market used to be near here, a large fish, meat, fruit and vegetables market, but since it closed in the 1970s it is slightly offthe beaten track, but parts of the market have now been developed for housing.
