"Some characteristics of Saint-Georges de Larzicourt are explained by the proximity of Lorraine and its various belongings: from 991, it comes from the Abbey of Der (diocese of Troyes), then it becomes parish of the diocese of Chalons and At the same time, his priory depends on Saint-Léon-de-Toul.
It was built in two distinct styles: originally in Romanesque architecture and then in flamboyant Gothic.
The wooden porch gallery of the 16th century houses the Romanesque portal of the Saint Georges church whose capitals of the splaying columns are very beautifully and abundantly decorated with intertwining between which appear human heads.
The oculus overlooking this porch is decorated with broken sticks. The choir and the double transept (2 bays) are of the 16th but the nave presents a beautiful Romanesque unit of the end of the 12th century.
The spans of the nave are separated by large arches resting on alternately rectangular and square supports. The transoms of these pillars are very finely decorated with plants, fruits, palmettes and knots.
A pretty carved headband runs between the large arcades of the high windows. "

Elle a été bâtie en deux styles distincts : à l'origine en architecture romane puis en gothique flamboyante.
La galerie porche en bois du 16e siècle abrite le portail roman de l’église Saint Georges dont les chapiteaux des colonnes d’ébrasement sont très joliment et abondamment décorés d’entrelacs entre lesquels apparaissent des têtes humaine.
L’oculus qui surplombe ce porche est lui décoré en bâtons brisés. Le chœur et le double transept (2 travées) sont du 16e mais la nef présente une belle unité romane de la fin du 12e siècle.
Les travées de la nef sont séparées par des grandes arcades qui reposent sur des supports alternativement rectangulaires et carrés. Les impostes de ces piliers sont très finement décorées de motifs végétaux, de fruits, de palmettes et de nœuds.
Un joli bandeau sculpté court entre les grandes arcades des fenêtres hautes."
