In 1898 William Hutchings donated 1 acre of land to the Anglican Church, so an Anglican church and burial ground could be established in Chatsbury. The church was dedicated in 1900 and the first burial occurred in Nov 1902. William and his wife were the 2nd and 3rd to be buried there. While the church was demolished in 1972, the graves remain in amongst the pine trees. (Source: Australian Cemeteries Index)
