We don't know how many millennium projects the City of Halifax embarked on, but we do know of this one. Near the middle of the boardwalk, the flagpole, with its attendant plaque, is a bit south of the
Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on the edge of the wharf by a large sculpture entitled
The Wave, just south of the pier leading out to
The Last Corvette.
The tall aluminum flagpole flies a Canadian flag, with its plaque mounted just to the north, lectern style.
