This is one of our favorite beaches. It is always somewhat windy but it is also always (especially during low tide) a great place to hang out and just watch the water splashing through the holes. Occasionally, some adventurous people climb the rock formation but we strongly discourage this activity unless you have at least some rock climbing experience. And if you can’t resist the temptation, make sure that it is still low tide when you get back, otherwise you’ll have to spend 12 very unpleasant hours on top of a true natural wonder. The area is managed by the California Land Trust, which charges a $5 parking fee. Since this is not a state park, there is no official website, but something (including directions) is here.

We are proud of the pictures we took, but there is at least one picture that is definitely better than everything we took. Check it out: Ron Karpel was there just at the right moment.
