"The Arcadia Theatre was originally constructed in 1926 in a Spanish Mission style and later renovated in the Art Deco style. The Art Deco additions included the decorated ribs and neon sign on the buildings front as well as the curved ceilings and recessed lighting in the entry. A stucco remnant of the Spanish Mission décor is still visible over the front entry. The Arcadia Theatre was purchased by Carmen M. Avery in 1991 and donated to the city."
