"Grayville’s signature landmark will be opened to the public on Sunday during the Grayville Days celebration.
"The historic W.W. Gray mansion, located at the corner of N. Court and E. Mill Streets, will be unveiled to the public by new owners Tim and Sue Rymer.
"They recently purchased the residence from Sherry Garcia, who relocated to Tennessee.
"The Rymers will be giving tours of the elaborate home from 2 to 4 p.m. and invite local folks to share their stories about the residence. There is no charge for admittance.
"Contrary to public conjecture, the Rymers will not use the home for a bed and breakfast.
"However, in the future, the Rymers intend to host “mystery theater” dinners by reservation only, and throw “princess parties” at the home by appointment.
"What follows is the authoritative history of the home, authored by the late Michael Alcorn." ~ The Navigator, of Albion, Illinois, Sep 4, 2015
