In Gloucester, at the corner of Main Street and Center Street, is this weathered, painted sign for Sullivan & Son Hardware Store.
The sign is on the east side of the building - west side of Center Street.
The sign is about 8 - 10 ft high (it's on a hill) and about 40 ft long. There are two short windows in the area. The background is painted grey, with a white, then a white border. Inside is a white arrow pointing left toward Main Street pointing the way to the store. The name, "Sullivan & Sons Hardware" is to the right of the arrow. Below the arrow and to the left is a yellow area with the words: "Bar Steel - Bolts - Rope = Cable- Chain - Wood Stoves - Fireplace Fixtures". To the right is a rough image of a bolt and the words, From Nuts to Bolts" around it.
I couldn't find any more info about the store, so, I am guessing that it has been gone for some time.
