Erected by the local Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #19, this memorial is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars. An exact duplicate is located in a town park in Alberton.

The memorial consists of a tall granite stele resting upon a rough sided granite base, both on a concrete pad flush with the ground. Leading in to the memorial from Church Street is a walkway of red brick pavers.
